sotong-ness in Glasgow

sun, blue sky and white clouds =) me likes. none like this appeared for the one week that has passed. the beauty of summer.
went back home today for lunch to find out that I cant open the door to my apartment. took me a while to realise that a group of malay batchmates started laughing because I was trying to open their apartment door. mine was above theirs. malu.
I nearly made a guiness book of records by losing the most important thing a pharmacist needs the earliest: my calculator! I misplaced it on friday in the lockers of the labs and thought I lost it for sure. *tap tap on my back* my calculator was found by my room mates in one of the lockers they just put their bags. funny, I don remember putting it in that locker. nvm. praise the Lord I got it back =)

God is INDESCRIBABLE

today marks the first day of summer class. the day started like this. raining, drizzling. for the past few days, the weather has been like this (look at sunny pic). the weather was good for everyone to move ard glasgow as much as we can. to fully utilize the advantage of summer. not only that, when I arrived, I did not have a proper jacket. advised by seniors to have a rain proof jacket as it may suddenly rain. so went searchin and by God's grace I found one with a hood and sort of the type I wanted with a reasonable good price too. timely for the jacket to be used. hehe. thus all I can say is that God is INDESCRIBABLE. He has planned everything. to the very details. amazing amazing God.

I am HeRe!

hello!!!! its so good to be able to use internet and tell all of you that I am well here in glasgow. the weather is wonderful for me. sunny but windy. wear at least 2 clothings before you come out of the room/house and if you are lucky, you may be able to show off your stylish jackets during the cold times. my room I can say is the most empty among my room mates. brought the least things. only one luggage bag and a backpack. so went to do some needed shopping. places as near as aldi's for grocery - 5 min, and walk to places like tesco -20 min, we, room mates have done that. most pics are in facebook =) ppl are nice here. very! shopping for clothes are really tempting. seeing the number such as 1,2,3 4 pounds makes you wanna buy lots of stuff. needed or not. groceries are about there too. comparing of prices from diff marts would be good sometimes. good shoes wil be very much helpful as walking is the main transport. hehe. I love the weather. really really love it.
there are times when I really miss my parents too. but with a phone, it helps. have been calling or smsing them. when i wake up in the mornings (6am), I would wonder where I am. the time difference and the whole biological clock thing is a littlehay wired. plus for the fact that now its summer. sun goes down at 10pm. so it seems early but you are actually late. sun rises as early as 430am. so me being light sensitive would wake up ard that time.
in short, I am enjoying myself very much. thank you for your prayers for the safe journey and everything else. next week class is starting. 3 subjects. but 8am - 5pm classes and practicals.

JuNe is HerE

hmmm, must be wondering why I post up this jaya supermarket picture right? hehe.... its because I was there when that happened.. not exactly there during the collapse but minutes later after it collapsed. we arrived at 525. went there with youth pastor to actually look and buy laptop. since my youth pastor knows more bout laptops and he offered to help me get one, I said why not. when we arrived at digital mall, seriously we din know of that collapse. the digital mall blocked the site of collapse. surprisingly there don seem to be lots of ppl at the site or we were just blur that time. after coming out of the digital mall, only did we realise that jaya supermarket collapsed due to the number of ppl crowding the place and presence of the policemen and firemen. about half an hour later we went back to the mall to collect the laptop and when we came out, we wondered how come the road is empty.. haha... guess what! the police blocked the road and we were like the odd ppl out carrying the laptop walking at the middle of the road with a few policemen watching us... malu betul. lols. so yea, my best update ever...hehe... going for church camp this weekend. I have missed 4 church camps for the last 6 years already... excited to go...wheeee!!! ipoh here I come!

it has been some time now since I blogged..hehe. anyways. resit for PP2 went well. tips given by lecturer really helped. they said or rather she said, when you read the question don think too much, if you know is right/wrong depending on what the question is asking for, just take that answer. the chances is that you are correct already. with God's grace, mum's prayers, all the prayers from my cell members, my aunties and church aunties and even from my senior pastor (my mum told him), I went inside calm and not panicky. came out the same =)
after the resit, went for worship camp! in kampar left on the thursday and I just came back =)... kampar is north (I din know that). would take another 1 hour plus to reach ipoh. anyways went for the camp not because I am going to be in the worship team/ministry. its because creative arts ministry, worship ministry, visual and pa ministry is linked to one another as worship. so I went. it was a good time of bonding with all the aunties, uncles and young adults in the church esp the worship team.. the amount of ppl that went was only 23 including three girls from also the same ministry as muah. the actual number of 60++ members did not make it as they had other plans... but God has great plans for small numbers sometimes too and thus it was a blessing in disguise. really enjoyed my self. from all the bonding, I found out that one the young working adult was from imu too. she did the same course!! so she is like my super super super senior... she was in the year 2000 batch and apparently, that time, the course starts in july... not only that, a four year course was squeezed into three years only!.. stress!!! the programme was then 2+1... wah!!! haha... then, there is my other super senior that did the same course... she came ni 2004... by that time, the course started earlier which is feb... thus 2 and a half+1... so cool man, three ppl from the same course..hahaha....
aside from all the bonding, I learnt about worship all over again... very basic but sometimes, the basics we tend to forget. I was indeed refreshed from these camp... what I desperately needed to hear from God was given to me during the ministry time from auntie joanna. assurance. my first worship camp and its was wonderful.
actually during the time of preparing of my resit and battling in mind and heart on what I am to learn from this failure and still asking why, worship songs were the ones that reminded me to hang on, not give up, trust in Him, live for Him alone, I am loved... aside from the verses, songs were the ones that also kept me going. so when singing songs during praise and worship, don just sing for the sake of singing.. this songs actually keep you going when you feel like you are in the darkest deepest dungeons... they are sweet reminders from God that says "He knows."

just came back(after my shower) from national service in banting. I went there with my youth pastor and its my first time entering the NS campsite. to tell you the truth, it was really an amazing experience. it was a good night to have spent it. there's CF in NS. the trainer is a christian and that helped a lot. actually, my youth pastor have been going into the campsite for over two years now. for each batch that comes in. I met lots of same age as my bro trainees or shall I say wira/wirawati. majority are bumi's from sabah sarawak!! why excited? cause I want to go there when I work... on the way to banting, we took some time off to pray. the prayer helped me a lot as inn the sense that, my malay was fluent after 5 years. I have not spoken bm ever since I came out of secondary school. anyways, to have a conversation with them was just heart warming. mainly are christians/catholics. 110 wira/wirawati!!! for this second batch. was really a challenge to come up with an ice breaker that would involve everyone but thank God, the game succeeded. youth pastor, Hock, had a new plan of having leaders for each small group discussion. the programme is youth alpha and as simple the approach is, the programme is really good and effective for teaching and learning. 3 years ago, I learnt as student in a seminar to teach next time, and now I am learning it again for real. today's topic is "who is Jesus?" it started with a game of naming a famous celebrity when the shoe is thrown to you. then, the question comes, how long will this celebrities remain famous? numerous annswers were given. the students are just amazing I tell you. thirsd question, Jesus was known for over 2000 years, why? questions such as why do you believe in Jesus was asked. as I participated, I too thought hard bout the questions given. made me rethink on certain issues. their faith, so simple, but yet with their heart set right before God, I believe the prayers are able to move mountains whether they talked in malay, chinese, english, all loves Jesus.

throughout the whole youth alpha, sweets were thrown to them. you could see the delights in their eyes to have sweets! that really makes you appreciate all the little things. Hock was given a monthly allowance by the NS, so he bought for them a guitar. of course the guitar is to be used for the next batches to come too. with willing hearts and having a heart of worship, last week there were about 20 trainees volunteering themselves to play the guitar, thus he bought the guitar for them. they tested the guitar at the end of the programme. they are good!! one of them after getting used to the guitar sang "Hari Ini" and everyone joined in singing.. it was fun =) yup, so that was part of the week. more updates coming soon and when the time is a little more right, shall explain one of the emo post I blogged up earlier =)

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”

2010

studying at home or just staying at home for that matter really can cause you to be lost in time. besides knowing the fact that EXAM STARTS IN ABOUT 4 DAYS TIME!!! yet, whenever you wake up, you still wonder what day is it today. is it monday? wednesday or is it saturday already? or maybe the date. even worse the year! woke up as usual at a particular time on one fine morning to get back to the table. brain starts working. asks self "what day is it today?" took about few minutes to debate the day since I did not remember going through a tuesday... wait a second, I did go through a tuesday. it was yesterday! so today is a wednesday! see how routine one life can be until like tak ada life. hehe... still very much aware that its march. after washing up headed downstairs to kick start the day with proper good breakfast. koko krunch with milk =) took the milk out, saw the expiry date: 30 March 2009. "eh? so long its been expired already leh. terrible shopkeeper sell expired milk." (bought milk the day before). tasted the milk and it seemed fine. hmmm.. how can an expired milk taste fine? looked at the expiry date again. then I realised that I am in 2009 NOT 2010!!! hahaha....
apart from these moment. have not been feeling the stress and that is getting me stressed. my last exam in this uni.. why arent I worried?
